As an integral part of the work I do Countryside Management is a fundamental part or what I produce from Coppicing to tree planting sustainability is key. In the two pictures we have a woodland in the making where I have planted a significant percentage of the trees on the land to a picture of the wood that I have been Coppicing for the past 6 years.
The sticks are made from Coppiced material and so is a certain percentage of the boards from overstood Coppice. Coppicing is the terminology of the act of a certain type of woodland management in this case the harvesting of Hazel (corylus avellan). it is beneficial to wildlife as it aids in regrowth of the wood, from bluebells to tree regeneration.
